Brett Kavanaugh confirmed supreme Court Trump's legacy secure

As expected, Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed to the Supreme Court. The vote of 50-48 is the narrowest ever confirmation for a Supreme Court justice in US history since 1881‼

Kavanaugh goes to the Court accused of multiple incidents of sexual assault. In being confirmed despite these credible accusations, he joins President Trump in a dubious club.

Kavanaugh's ascent to the Court cements a 5-4 majority for conservatives. Appointments to the US Supreme Court are lifetime appointments. As a result, Trump has now assured a conservative majority for a generation in one of the three branches of US Government. This is guaranteed to be one of his lasting legacies.
